Interventional cardiologists have specialized training in catheter-based treatment for cardiovascular disease as well as structural problems in and around the heart. These procedures take place in our technologically advanced cardiac catheterization lab (cath lab).
These procedures provide quick and minimally invasive options for many conditions. Interventional cardiology also provides advanced diagnostic testing. Some of these procedures save lives by opening blocked coronary arteries in mere minutes.
