U.S. News and World Report has named Adventist Health Northwest Heart Center as a high performer in three cardiac ratings among its Best Regional Hospitals list. The High Performing rating comes for heart failure, aortic valve surgery and heart attack.
The heart failure score is based on many data points, including patient outcomes, volume, advanced heart programs and ICU specialists. The aortic valve surgery score’s categories include patient survival, length of stay, volume and other data points. For heart attack, the score relates to patient survival, discharging patients directly to their home and more.
More than 6,000 hospitals were evaluated. Hospitals that earned a High Performing rating were significantly better than the national average.
