Lauren Lee, MD
Cardiologist
Cardiologist Lauren Lee, MD, sees both science and art in the creation of the ideal care plan for each patient. “Cardiovascular diseases are common and can have a huge impact on a patient’s life,” Dr. Lee explains. “Thankfully there are many effective medications and procedures to diagnose and treat them. It is incredibly rewarding to be able to improve the lives of patients.”
She has a deep appreciation for how different types of noninvasive imaging — like echocardiography, cardiac CT and nuclear medicine — have their own strengths and nuances for diagnosing cardiac conditions.
Dr. Lee says the best part of her job is getting to know her patients. “It is so helpful to understand where patients are coming from, from a cultural and life perspective, so we can create a plan that works for them personally.” She speaks Korean as well as English.
After completing medical school at Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University in Chicago, Dr. Lee stayed at Northwestern for a residency in internal medicine. She went on to complete a fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
As well as being a talented physician, Dr. Lee is a musician. She plays the violin and the cello and enjoys classical music. You’ll also find her traveling and exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
