Cardiac Surgery
Pearce Beissinger graduated from Florida State University and completed further studies at Yale University. He then received his master’s in physician assistant studies from Arcadia University. Following an initial practice focus in orthopedic surgery, Pearce transitioned to being a cardiothoracic surgical PA while working at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Hospital. He was a clinical instructor at Dartmouth Medical School and has continued to be involved with academic medicine and teaching PA students.
Prior to moving with his family to Portland, Pearce has been involved with the growth and development of a cardiothoracic surgical program in Harrisonburg, Virginia. He is proficient in endoscopic saphenous vein harvesting and He is also an instructor in advanced wilderness life support (AWLS).
Outside of the hospital, Pearce is involved with church ministry, rowing, cycling, ice climbing and mountaineering. His greatest adventure and most rewarding pursuit have been enjoying the blessing of his wife, Heather, and two children, Micah and Jonah.
